An improvement. Food is better and more choice. We came when it first opened and it wasn't great. Thought we would try again and is alot better. Meats still not the best. Pork was extremely fatty but still tasted nice. The creamed cabbage was lovely!
Carvery and drink for 3 people for just over 30. Only went for a es advert and it was more than enough. Really good quality food and the staff were very friendly.
If could of gave no stars I would have. first service at the bar was atrocious, I was rudely asked if I had waited in the massive queue and then not served since the bartender did not believe me, second when we got our food one plate had a hair in it and the other was a supposed 8oz rump steak which looked like a small strip of sandwich steak and the waitress gave the predictable excuse of it being 8oz before it was cooked, this piece of steak would not have even filled a mouse. Very disappointing, will not be returning
Carvery beautiful best selection of vegetables I've seen and tasted in any other pub for a long time fresh and hot would recommend to anyone who hasn't been before to get yourselves and family there ! Dessert on the other hand which we brought home with us was a Very big let down ! We chose Raspberry Cheesecake which unfortunately didn't even taste like the raspberries had been put in it also there was very little biscuit base which didn't look like the one you see displayed and because of lack of raspberries had no colour like the one displayed ! However we will be black regularly for the beautiful carvery !
Carvery food is good. Service could be better at times. Staff can't seem to navigate allergy information very well. Waited to be shown to a table as per sign only to be told 'oh, you just sit anywhere you like!' Decent play area for children.
